NIPT

You may be wondering, "When can I find out the gender of my baby? What type of genetic testing is offered to me?".

We work closely with a non-invasive prenatal testing (NIPT) company to help answer all of these questions. We strongly encourage patients to perform this blood draw due to the important information it gives us. The test is recommended for pregnant patients between 9 and 13 weeks of pregnancy.

The NIPT tests for:

  • Your baby's gender
  • Trisomy 21 (Down's Syndrome)
  • Trisomy 18 (Edward's Syndrome)
  • Trisomy 13

If you would like us to keep your baby's gender hidden, we can put the results in an envelope and contact you once it's ready for pick up. It will be our little secret :)

Another panel that is available is autosomal recessive testing that shows us if your baby is at risk for a trait that you could be carrying. We test for 14 different traits that create significant diabilities that will help you to know if baby is at risk.

We hope you have a wonderful day and we will see you soon for your next appointment!
